Attention Yes Bank Credit Cardholders: Starting from October 1, 2024, Yes Bank is implementing new charges for educational payments and fuel transactions. Here’s a breakdown of the updates:
Education Fee Charges
- New Fees: Payments for education fees made via third-party apps or websites (like CRED, PhonePe, Housing. com, No Broker, CheQ, etc.) will incur an additional charge of 1% plus GST.
- No Extra Charges: Payments made directly through university, college, or school websites or their POS machines will not attract additional fees.
- Fee Cap: The total additional fee for education payments will be capped at ₹5,000 per customer per calendar month.
- MCC Codes: The following Merchant Category Codes (MCC) will be subject to the new fee structure: 8211, 8220, 8241, 8244, 8249, 8299.
Fuel Transaction Charges
- New Fees: For fuel transactions exceeding ₹10,000 in a calendar month, a 1% fee plus GST will be applied.
- Fee Cap: The total additional fee for fuel transactions will be capped at ₹5,000 per month.
- MCC Codes: The following MCCs will apply to fuel transactions: 5172, 5541, 5542, 5983, 9752.
