SBI Card Discontinues Etihad Co-Branded Credit Cards

SBI Card has announced that it will discontinue its Etihad co-branded credit card series starting from March 2025. This decision aligns with SBI Card’s recent strategy to phase out certain co-branded credit cards, as seen earlier with the discontinuation of the Air India co-branded credit cards.

Co-branded credit cards, such as those offered in partnership with airlines like Etihad, have been popular among frequent travelers for their tailored rewards and benefits. However, the credit card industry is witnessing a shift, with issuers reevaluating their partnerships and product offerings. For instance, the previously rewarding Vistara co-branded credit cards were discontinued following the airline’s merger with Air India.

While the discontinuation of the Etihad co-branded cards marks the end of a specific product line, SBI Card continues to offer a diverse portfolio of credit cards catering to various customer needs. Cardholders seeking travel-related benefits may explore other options within SBI Card’s offerings or consider generic travel credit cards that provide rewards across multiple airlines and travel services.
