IndusInd Bank Changes Domestic Lounge Access Rules — Quarterly Spend Now Mandatory

If you hold an IndusInd Bank credit card with complimentary domestic airport lounge access, here’s a key update coming your way:
From 1st April 2026, lounge access will be linked to a quarterly spend requirement. That means just having the card won’t be enough — you’ll need to spend a certain amount each quarter to unlock your lounge visits for the next quarter.

How the New Lounge Access Rule Works

Spend tracking begins: April–May–June 2026 (Quarter 1 of FY 26–27)
Lounge access unlocked from: July–September 2026 (Quarter 2), based on your Q1 spend
This cycle repeats every quarter:
If you meet the quarterly spend target now, you get access next quarter.
If you don’t, you lose complimentary access for that period.

Spend Thresholds & Lounge Visits by Card

Card Variant Quarterly Spend Target Complimentary Domestic Lounge Visits / Quarter
IndusInd Indulge ₹5,00,000 6 visits
IndusInd Legacy ₹1,50,000 1 visit
IndusInd Crest ₹1,50,000 2 visits
IndusInd Solitaire ₹5,00,000 4 visits
IndusInd Celesta ₹1,50,000 Unlimited
IndusInd Pinnacle ₹1,50,000 1 visit

Meet the target → Access is unlocked for the next quarter.
Miss the target → Lounge access won’t be extended for that period.

Important Conditions to Know

Only settled spends count: Your transactions must be billed and settled (not pending) in the last 3 months.
Net of reversals: Refunds or reversed transactions are deducted before calculating eligible spend.
Card upgrades: If your card gets upgraded, the new card’s lounge rules apply.
New cards: If your card was recently issued, your first eligibility is based on the previous quarter’s spend (where applicable).
Track spends: View eligible spends via Net Banking or the Mobile Banking App.

What This Means for You

Lounge access is no longer “automatically free”
You must plan your quarterly spends to keep access active
Big purchases earlier in the quarter can help you hit thresholds
Cards like Celesta become more attractive due to unlimited visits at a lower spend requirement
