Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has launched a National Common Mobility Card to promote cashless travel across public transport systems nationwide.
This new initiative allows commuters to travel cash-free in various public transport systems throughout the country, offering a seamless payment option that works without cash. The HRTC already supports UPI, debit, and credit card payments in state buses, and now extends this convenience further.
Key features:
- Nationwide Use: The card can be used across different transport networks like Delhi Metro, DTC buses, Haryana Roadways, and Mumbai’s BEST buses.
- Cashless Travel: A significant step towards a fully cashless travel system, even usable in areas with limited internet access.
- One-Time Issuance Fee: The card comes with a ₹100 issuance fee, and top-ups can be done both online and in person at bus counters.
This move marks a major technological leap for Himachal’s public transport, enhancing convenience for travelers while strengthening HRTC’s services.
