Hey everyone, I’m a 25-year-old with an HDFC Diners Club Privilege credit card with a 3L limit and an Amazon ICICI credit card with a 5L limit. My monthly salary is around ₹1.2L, with an additional yearly bonus of 5-6L. I was planning to upgrade to the Diners Club Black (DCB) through the ITR route when the requirement was ₹21L, but now that it’s increased to ₹30L, that’s no longer feasible.Should I look into upgrading my DCP to Regalia Gold, or would it be better to hold onto the DCP and aim to switch directly to DCB in the future? What would you recommend?
@akshith90 Why wait for the future? Regalia Gold offers much better benefits compared to DCP. You should go ahead and upgrade, and you’ll likely get a credit limit increase as well. Once your limit crosses ₹5L, you can email them to request an upgrade to DCB. HDFC often upgrades customers to DCB with a credit limit above ₹5L, even if they don’t meet the yearly income criteria.
