HDFC Bank Revamps Reward-Point Rules for Its Premium Card from Feb 1, 2026 — What Cardholders Should Know

Heads-up, HDFC credit card users! HDFC Bank is updating how reward points can be redeemed on its flagship Infinia Metal Credit Card — and it takes effect from February 1, 2026.

What’s Changing?

Starting Feb 1, 2026, you can redeem reward points a maximum of five times per month on the Infinia Metal Credit Card — even if you have lots of points saved up.

Redemption cap per month: 5 times
Reason: This limits how many redemption transactions you can make on the card — whether you’re converting to Insta vouchers, travel, gift cards or other redemptions.

There are also monthly redemption caps on the number of points that can be used for travel (flights, hotels, airmiles), and overall redemption limits in a statement cycle — also enforced from Feb 1, 2026.

(These caps are part of the updated reward redemption policy for the card.)

Why This Matters

Heavy savers & redeemers:
If you like moving a lot of points at once — especially for big voucher redemptions or travel bookings — this change means you’ll have to plan your redemptions carefully each month.

Strategic use:
Instead of redeeming all points at once, you might have to split redemptions over multiple months.

Premium card impact:
Infinia Metal users are often big spenders — this tweak affects how easily you can convert points into value.

From Feb 1, 2026, HDFC Infinia Metal cardholders will face a five-times-per-month limit on reward redemptions — a significant shift for users who redeem often or move points in big batches. Plan your redemptions early each month so you don’t hit the cap unexpectedly.
