A long-running Axis Atlas earn path on Intermiles has effectively been shut down on the website. Cardholders who used the Intermiles portal for Amazon Pay and other vouchers are now seeing the charge settle under a gift-card-style merchant, meaning the old accelerated Atlas earn no longer comes through.
Offer Details
- Intermiles web checkout has moved from Razorpay to PayU
- The new transaction descriptor shows as Jet Privilege / PayU, and the merchant category is a gift-card MCC
- Atlas previously earned a strong effective rate on these voucher buys; on the new gateway that earn is reported as 0%
- If the payment page still shows Razorpay, the old path may still work for that session — not reliable
- The Intermiles mobile app was still on the older Razorpay setup when this was flagged; that window may close without notice
Eligible Cards / Who Can Avail
- Mainly affects Axis Atlas holders who bought vouchers on Intermiles to earn accelerated miles
- Other cards that exclude gift cards, wallets or prepaid instruments can also lose rewards or milestone credit on the new MCC
Benefits
- None — this is a devaluation, not a new benefit
- Burning existing Intermiles points for a voucher discount can still be fine; paying with Atlas on the website to earn more miles is the part that broke
How to Claim / Steps
- Before paying, check the gateway — PayU plus a gift-card merchant description is the broken path
- Don’t count these spends toward Atlas accelerated earn or monthly milestones until a statement confirms otherwise
- If you still see Razorpay, treat it as temporary and recheck the posted MCC
Validity / Important Notes
- A follow-up check also suggested Razorpay itself may no longer be posting the old 5 miles per ₹100 — don’t assume either gateway is safe
- Gift-card MCC spends are a common exclusion on premium cards; a clawback is possible even if points show initially
If an Intermiles voucher was on your Atlas plan this week, pause and verify the gateway before you pay. Anyone seen this on their statement yet?
