Starting September 1, 2024, there will be changes to the reward points system:

  • Utility Payments: Cap at 2,000 Reward Points (MCC: 4900)
  • Telecom & Cable Transactions: Cap at 2,000 Reward Points (MCC: 4812, 4814, 4899)
  • Education Payments: No Reward Points for transactions through 3rd party apps like CRED (MCC: 8211, 8220, 8241, 8244, 8249, 8299)

Additionally, starting October 1, 2024, new redemption caps will be implemented:

  • Apple Products: Limited to 1 redemption per calendar quarter
  • Tanishq Vouchers: Up to 50,000 Reward Points

This is for all cards or only for few ?

I think it’s only effective for a certain cards, right?

Have received the update for my Infinia and Swiggy cards, and hearing others got it for DCB too. It seems like this applies to most cards, check your email for confirmation. According to MITC, it is for all cards
