Air India Wants to Reward Your Hotel Stays Now Too

Air India is expanding the reach of its loyalty ecosystem.

The airline has partnered with Booking.com, allowing travelers to earn Maharaja Club points on hotel bookings while also unlocking exclusive accommodation discounts.

The move brings flights and hotel stays closer together, giving Maharaja Club members another way to earn rewards even when they’re not flying.

What’s New?

Through the dedicated Air India–Booking.com platform:

• Earn 5 Maharaja Points for every ₹100 spent on eligible hotel stays

• Points earned can be redeemed for award flights and cabin upgrades

• Access exclusive discounts of up to 15% on participating properties

• Promotional hotel discounts are available from 22 June to 21 July 2026

Why This Is Interesting

A New Way to Earn Maharaja Points

Until now, most members primarily accumulated points through flights and airline partners. Hotel bookings now become another avenue to build a Maharaja Club balance.

Travel Rewards Beyond Flying

For frequent travelers, accommodation often represents one of the biggest travel expenses. Being rewarded for those spends can help accelerate progress towards future flight redemptions.

A Familiar Playbook

Global airlines have long used hotel booking platforms to increase loyalty engagement. Air India is now strengthening its own ecosystem by encouraging members to keep more of their travel spending within the Maharaja Club network.

The Bigger Opportunity

The headline may be the hotel discount, but the real value could lie in earning airline rewards on spending that many travelers are already making.

The key question is whether the effective value of 5 Maharaja Points per ₹100 is compelling enough compared to rewards offered by hotel loyalty programs, OTAs, and credit cards.

Limited-Time Bonus

For those planning trips in the coming weeks, the up to 15% hotel discount could provide an additional incentive to try the platform before the promotional period ends on 21 July 2026.
